Celebrating 5 Years of the Scranton Half

When organizers of the Scranton Half Marathon approached us to design the special 5th anniversary logo for the event, we looked to the city itself for inspiration.

Maintaining the original logo’s color palette of red, grey and black, the 5th anniversary logo incorporates Scranton landmarks presented through thick line work illustrations that lend a playful element to the cityscape.

Several variations on the color palette with contrasting elements and orientations were created to provide flexibility in the logo’s application. From t-shirts to decals, the anniversary design stands out against the straightforward and minimalist design of the event’s traditional logo.

More importantly, the anniversary logo will serve as a reminder of the city where participants earned their bragging rights each time they proudly wear or display their marathon medals and apparel.
