Marketing Tip #2

It’s a new year and it’s time update your social media accounts! Social media can be an effective way to reach out to new prospects and existing customers online. Since your social media profiles may set the first impression for your organization, it’s important to present a strong brand image that’s cohesive with the rest of your marketing. As a guideline for what should be updated, ask yourself these questions:

Is your profile picture up to date?

Is your bio and “About” section up-to-date?

Are your profile and banner images the optimum sizes? Click here for a full list of recommended social media image sizes.

A good rule of thumb is to review your social media accounts and plan to update your cover images at least quarterly to keep everything fresh.

You should consider how well your photos, bio, cover images, and content fit with the brand image your organization is aiming for. Your social media accounts should be designed consistently with your marketing materials and website so customers will become familiar with your logo and brand. In addition, your social media accounts should be linked to your website and the icons of the social accounts you have should be included on your business cards and marketing collateral if applicable.
